HireGo - Peer to Peer vehicle rental

Introduction

Today with the advent of a shared economy, there has been an unexpected and dramatic expansion in the popularity of private rental. The Airbnb and Uber platforms are the most mentioned examples of this economic change, they allow millions of users to rent their properties or services to others in exchange for an allocation.
Private rental companies, a subset of the shared economy that is dedicated solely to property leasing, is a rapidly growing sector. It is estimated that private car rental alone will reach a value of $90 billion by 20201. This increase has led to the creation of platforms that provide the rental of tools, cars, remote-controlled aircraft, photographic equipment and construction plants, among others.
Within this group, car rental constitutes a large proportion of the private rental sector and is dominated by a small number of platforms in particular. Turo is a market-leading application with a user base of over 2 million users. It charges a huge commission of 25% for transactions, and other platforms raise it to 35%. There is a clear lack of choice and competence in this area.

In this sense, HireGo is born a platform that plans to overcome the inadequacies of existing solutions. The use of these block chain-based identity solutions certifies that users can process their own data, providing access when they deem it appropriate, and provides additional assurance that platform users are genuine and reliable. The use of intelligent contracts, a contract code that runs on the Ethereum network, eliminates the need for an intermediary and allows users to carry out rental transactions without trust.
In view of this, HireGo will position itself as the first private car rental application in the emerging decentralized sector. Our main goal is to set the technology and usability standards for the car rental industry, providing a professional and secure platform for linking like-minded people and leading the way for others.

Application

HireGo is building a decentralized, peer-to-peer marketplace that allows its users to rent their vehicles in a secure, untrusted environment. The market takes advantage of Ethereum blockchain as a public ledger for leasing operations, and to carry out the transactions themselves, using an intelligent contract

HireGo provides a comprehensive directory of vehicles available for rental. Users can secure it for the desired period and pay using the HGO token - an ERC20-compatible cryptocurrency token created for this purpose. The vehicles that come on the market come from HireGo users and can easily be added to inapp; additional tools are available for "advanced users", making a larger number of vehicles available.
HireGo has been designed with simplicity and safety in mind. The payment is executed, in an escrow contract on the Ethereum block chain, these technologies are natively operated by the HireGo application and all technical applications are hidden from the user.

Smart Contracts

HireGo will develop three smart contracts on the Ethereum network: the HGO token, a non-expendable vehicle token and a rental contract. An additional storage contract will be made for use on a concentrator and radio model, which will ensure that any updates or bug fixes can be published accordingly, without loss of information.

    The local currency is the HGO token, a cryptocurrency that complies with the ERC20 standard. A total of 100,000,000,000 tokens will be introduced, of which 60% will be allocated to an initial offer of coins. Each piece shall be divisible to 18 decimal places. Any change in value in the HireGo market will occur using HGO tokens.
The token can be used for purchase on existing cryptocurrency exchanges and can be used as a means of exchange and speculation beyond the HireGo application.

Every vehicle on the market is represented as an ERC721 compatible token. The holder of a Vehicle Card will have special access to the corresponding information. and, as such, the possession shows that a rental agreement has been made. The card is returned to the vehicle owner at the end of a rental transaction.
  • Rental agreement
Rental operations are also executed through a dedicated intelligent contract. This contract will proceed as a trust and will mediate the transfer of the Vehicle's file between the two parties.
When a rental transaction is drawn up, the rental user issues a paid transaction to the lease-out. These capitals are retained by the contract until the rental period has elapsed and both users have indicated a successful operation.

The Internet of Things is the knowledge of connecting almost any electrical device to the Internet and to each other. It is estimated that by 2020 there will be more than 26 billion connected devices.
OI and blockchain (distributed general ledger technology) are often associated with each other, as both technologies are based on distribution.
By 2019, 20 per cent of all OI deployments will have basic levels of block chain services enabled.
HireGo aims to take advantage of the Internet technology of things ready for the block chain when it becomes available and future versions of the market will support the physical path to vehicles
